The FDS is a hygienic and product-friendly dosing system. It is used for shutting off or dosing bulk materials and can be integrated into almost any filling or dosing system. The desired target weight is entered on a dosing control, the bulk material is discharged and the quantity is checked using a weighing device. When the target quantity is reached, the product flow is stopped. Depending on the dosing device, accuracies in the gram range can be achieved. 

The innovation of the dosing system is the shut-off mechanism of the product flow. This has no mechanical parts in the product flow at all, so all mechanically moving parts are untouched by the product. By squeezing the product-carrying hose, the product flow is reduced and the system is completely closed if necessary. The dosing parameters are entered on a control. In coarse current mode, the squeeze mechanism opens up to the adjustable stops. This can be the maximum nominal width of the dosing element. In the fine flow mode, the pinch mechanism is closed on one side. Towards the end of the filling, two pneumatically controlled bars press against the flexible hose. When the target value is reached, the crushing mechanism closes completely. This reduces or blocks the product flow. Dosing with an accuracy of just a few grams is possible (depending on the size of the device or the product). The system can be easily integrated into existing systems or used for complete shut-off. It is also easy to clean because there are no moving parts in the product flow.
