Electrochemical Product Quality
Measure the Corrosion of Metallic and Ceramic Coatings
Page last modified
April 11 2024
Electrochemical Product Quality (EPQ) is a technology developed by C-Cube to measure the corrosion of metallic- and ceramic coatings, on applications such as hydraulic cylinders. EPQ is a non-destructive test that measures water permeation through coatings in accordance with ASTM G61.
Pros & Limitations
1
Tells users how good the (visually intact) coating really protects
1
Provides insights into coating density & porosity
1
Notifies users of presence of corrosion underneath coating layers
1
Predicts when corrosion starts
1
Gives prognoses of % visible corrosion over time

Predictive Maintenance
|
Gives predictions for the amount of corrosion over time. | Save up to 40% of maintenance costs over time.
|
|
Safety
|
Allows users to repair corroded areas before the structural integrity is at risk.
|
|
Production
|
Use EPQ to maintain assets, preventing failure and downtime.
