For sand/solids and liquids in process vessels

Page last modified
April 11 2024

Nicoustic has developed accurate non-intrusive technology for vessel level monitoring based on Guided Ultrasonic Waves. Our sensors are placed on the outside of a vessel and detect liquids and solids levels. Measurement of emulsion and foam interface layers is under development. We are also developing non-intrusive online vessel integrity monitoring using the same hardware.

Our technology is based on 20 years of Research at Fraunhofer IKTS and a partnership with Equinor. The first prototype has undergone extensive lab/pilot testing and is currently being prepared for field testing on a first stage separator offshore in Norway (to commence in Q4 2023). A JIP to further develop the system is being launched with start in Q1 2024.

We are interested in getting in touch with operators who would like to pilot our technology on their installations as well as to join the final R&D effort before the launch of the commercial system.
