Efficient decommissioning system using slotting and isolation
Slot Jet Isolate (SJI™) is a patented multi-purpose mechanical slotting system designed by Titan Energies to improve the overall efficiency of decommissioning projects, specifically for the Plug and Abandonment (P&A) of wells. The SJI™ system aims to optimize the conventional methods for well P&A operations.
The SJI™ tool is designed to run into the well to the desired depth, where it can initially slot the casing while simultaneously jetting the slots and cleaning up the outside of the casing. Once the casing has been suitably slotted and cleaned, the tool can then fully wash the casing and place the isolation material both outside and inside the casing to create a complete P&A barrier.
Key features of the SJI™ technology include a repeatable hydro-mechanical multi-use slotting, jetting, and isolation system, a single-trip system, a one-bladed design for slotting one casing string, a large Tubing Flow Area (TFA) per activation, HPHT compliance, a proven reliable execution method, variable blades for slotting or stand-off, surface key performance indicators during execution, and the ability to change the slotted length/depth in the hole without waiting for log interpretation. Additionally, the system does not require explosives, a sump, or permits, making it a safer and more efficient solution.
