WavePredictor
Predict vessel motions minutes in advance
Foresee quiescent periods and perfectly time the most critical part of your offshore operation. Or get a warning when upcoming ship motions are likely to cross set limits in the next minutes. This is all possible with the Next Ocean WavePredictor.
The WaveAnalyser uses conventional marine X-band pulse radar to observe and analyse the surrounding ocean waves. It processes the raw radar backscatter data, which contains signal noise from Bragg scattering off wind-induced ripples on the sea surface. This enables detecting the underlying surface waves for analysis. The advanced algorithms developed by Next Ocean translate this radar backscatter information into a wave and vessel motion prediction. At the blink of an eye you can spot if some extreme waves or motions are at hand.
