PigCAM®4

PigCAM 4 is an advanced free-swimming camera system developed by EV that revolutionizes pipeline inspection and assessment. This sophisticated tool utilizes cutting-edge Visual Analytics technology to provide operators with a complete 360-degree high-definition view of pipeline internal diameters.

The system features a four-camera array that captures stunning color video at 25 frames per second for up to 24 hours of continuous operation. These azimuthally aligned cameras work together to deliver comprehensive circumferential coverage, ensuring no area of the pipeline goes unexamined. The recording capabilities are highly flexible, allowing for continuous operation or segmented intervals with customizable time delays.

PigCAM 4 incorporates essential measurement tools including an inclinometer for orientation tracking, temperature indicators for environmental monitoring, high-side indicators, and optional odometer and speed control features. The system operates effectively in pipelines ranging from 12 to 16 inches in diameter and can withstand pressures up to 1450 psi and temperatures reaching 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

The modular design allows seamless integration with other smart pigging technologies such as caliper, MFL, UT, or EMAT tools, creating powerful combination systems. Key applications include internal pipeline condition assessments, coating defect identification, corrosion evaluation, leak and crack detection, restriction assessment, and detailed surveys for pipeline repurposing. The Visual Analytics capabilities provide quantified images and statistical analysis, enabling data-driven decision-making for asset integrity management and operational optimization.
