OpreX Robot Management Core
Improves plant safety and efficiency with robots
The OpreX Robot Management Core (RMC) is a software platform developed by Yokogawa to enable integrated management of various mobile robots deployed in industrial plants. It allows operators to control and monitor different types of robots through a unified web dashboard. RMC integrates with the company's Collaborative Information Server (CI Server) to promote using robots for tasks like equipment inspections and data collection.
The key functions of RMC include scheduling and dispatching autonomous robot missions based on predefined scenarios (e.g. taking photos at specified locations). It provides adapters to communicate with different robot brands and models like Boston Dynamics Spot or Mitsubishi EX ROVR. The dashboard displays real-time status of registered robots and mission execution. After completion, mission results like photos can be reviewed. RMC aims to improve plant safety by reducing human entry into hazardous areas and also optimize operations by supplementing the workforce with robotic capabilities.
The Robot Management Core (RMC) enables improved safety and efficiency in plant operations and maintenance by integrating and managing a variety of mobile robots, which perform tasks that were previously the responsibility of the workforce. RMC also interoperates with Yokogawa's plant control and safety system in operational procedures, which allow the robot to utilize data acquired from the field. This provides an initial step toward autonomous plant operation.
