Offshore well inspections with D & C PEC

Avoiding collapsing offshore wells using Pulsed Eddy Current

D & C PEC is an application for offshore wells, using Pulsed Eddy Currents, enabling accurate corrosion measurements of the surface casing, intermediate casing and the conductor. The inspection can be executed during production of the offshore well.

With the D/C PEC data, the resulting safety factor will be calculated of the casings and connectors, which can be followed up with a failure mode feasibility analysis and additional calculations for tension table design.

Pro/con

Avoiding collapsing wells
Extend the life of offshore wells
Cost effective inspection without interrupting production
Cemented wells can be inspected
Better planning of production activities, workover and well-abandoning programs
Considerably reduce health, safety and environmental risks
Tool cannot be installed permanently
