Magnetic separation technology is evolving rapidly, driven by advancements in
Magnetic Separator Systems
Removes ferrous and non-ferrous contamination
The Magnetic Separator Systems from Black Powder Solutions are inline, full-flow devices engineered to remove ferrous and non-ferrous particulates, known as Black Powder, from fluids and gases. They utilize a proprietary Magnetic Array inside a pressure vessel to maximize contaminant capture with minimal pressure drop. The systems are custom designed based on parameters like flow rate, pressure, temperature, and viscosity to achieve over 99% efficiency in extracting particles from sub-micron to over 100 microns. The Magnetic Array technology has a high loading capacity, allowing maintenance intervals of 6-24 months. The systems are available in materials like stainless steel or carbon steel with ANSI pressure ratings up to 2500. They can be outfitted with manual, semi-automatic, or fully-automatic cleaning mechanisms. The Magnet Arrays are wiped clean during maintenance. This cleanable technology has a 15+ year operating life. Deployment of the Magnetic Separators improves operations, increases production, enhances product quality, supports safety, and reduces environmental impact by removing damaging Black Powder contamination from hydrocarbon systems.
