JAWS 2.0 is a rugged, motorized retrieval tool with an integrated high-definition TV camera and LED lighting developed by Sensor Networks Inc. It has a lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum body with stainless steel jaws that provide a maximum jaw opening of 2.75 inches (70mm). JAWS 2.0 is designed to be compact, fitting through 1.5 inch (38mm) openings and 4 inch (100mm) elbows. It can submerge to depths of 100 feet (30 meters) and operates on a 50 foot tethered cable connected to a battery-powered handheld controller with a 5 inch 1080p HD display. JAWS 2.0 features interchangeable end-effectors like gripping jaws, hooks, magnets, and sampling cups for versatility across many applications. It can efficiently retrieve dropped objects in complex industrial environments while providing real-time video feedback. The handheld controller allows complete remote control of JAWS 2.0's movement and visibility. Overall, JAWS 2.0 is an advanced, rugged, customizable visual retrieval system for industrial inspection and maintenance operations.
