Insight Underwater Laser Scanners
Powerful underwater 3D scanners
Voyis Insight Laser Scanners are high-resolution underwater LiDAR systems designed for seafloor mapping and asset inspection applications.
Using laser triangulation, these scanners rapidly sweep a 50° laser line across targets to capture detailed 3D point cloud data in real time. Onboard processing calculates XYZ coordinates from the scanned points without the need for post-processing. Three models are offered to suit different range requirements - the short range Nano (0.13-2.5m), mid range Micro (1.2-7m), and long range Pro (1.5-15m). All models can scan at depths up to 1000m, with the Pro rated for 6000m. The scanners have no moving parts, making them robust against vibration and suitable for dynamic deployments on ROVs, AUVs, or towed systems. When paired with navigation sensors, the scanners can geo-reference data. Alternately, the supplied rotary actuator allows stationary scanning. The onboard software integrates with common survey suites and outputs data in standard formats for point cloud analysis. Real-time data enables the scanners to support autonomous surveys and instant decision-making.
They provide an accurate, high resolution optical alternative to multibeam sonar for infrastructure inspection, habitat mapping, and other applications.
