The Insight Platform
Real-time quantitative risk monitoring platform
The Insight Platform is a secure, cloud-native SaaS solution developed by Insight Terra for real-time environmental and infrastructure risk monitoring. Built on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the platform transforms Industrial IoT, historian and any data sources into actionable insights through advanced analytics, visualization, and alerting capabilities.
The platform ingests data from multiple sources including edge-based geotechnical sensors, methane and air quality monitors, weather stations, data historians, and external third-party sources like GIS, satellite imagery, and weather forecasting systems. It also accepts manually collected data from geophysical surveys and historical spreadsheets.
Key features include a fully configurable rules engine for multi-layer trigger alerts, high confidence data validation processes, and scalable microservices architecture for global deployment. The platform offers real-time dashboards with interactive capabilities, secure file management, AI-powered pattern recognition and forecasting, and cross-sectional geospatial analysis tools.
Security is paramount, with end-to-end encryption, role-based access control, multi-factor authentication, and compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and other international standards. The platform operates on a Zero Trust architecture with continuous threat monitoring and full audit logging.
The Insight Platform follows a five-step process: collect data from edge sources, transform and normalize it, validate against acceptable ranges, process and enrich raw data into derived metrics, and visualize contextualized insights. This approach enables proactive environmental risk mitigation across mining, water infrastructure, energy, and property development sectors while maintaining device and network agnosticism.
