Page last modified
March 19 2025
The ID5001P detects pigs in any pipeline medium with local and remote access to live data. The ID5001P is ATEX and IECEx certified for use in hazardous areas and IIC for use on hydrogen pipelines. The unit can be quickly and easily installed using ratchet straps or stainless steel banding. The sensor can be supplied on a cable up to 10m long for use on buried pipelines or where access is limited. Details of pig passage are signalled on the display and can be remotely communicated using RS485 MODBUS via the operator's SCADA system. Up to 99 events can be logged with time and date.

Normally the unit is used to confirm whether or not a pig has passed a known point of interest
on a pipeline such as a bend or valve. The unit should be mounted approximately 5m after the
point of interest and a test run completed to confirm successful installation and reliable detection.
