HydraHemera - jet-based PWC
The HydraHemera system was developed to enable plugging a well across multiple annuli without performing a section milling operation.
The HydraHemera PWC System consists of two basic components; the HemeraPoseidon and an HydraArchimedes cement assurance tool.
More complex wells require more sophisticated components. The HydraHemera™ with an Archimedes™ (HydraHemera™) allows operations to be performed in environments with heavier mud densities and increasing amount of annular cement.
The Hemera Jet Washing Tool is used to wash and clean out movable debris, e.g. barite, formation, cement traces, etc., in the annuli behind the perforated casing(s). It features jet nozzles which are positioned at irregular angles and engineered for optimum configuration and exit velocity. The jets penetrate and clean thoroughly behind (multiple) perforated casing(s).
The Hemera Jet-washing Tool ensures optimum conditions in the casing annuli prior to placing the plugging material in the cross section. Debris, old mud, barite and old cuttings are replaced by clean wash fluid (e.g., mud or brine).
Using a ball drop mechanism after the washing sequence, the Hemera™ Jet Cementing Tool is activated. Plugging material is placed in the entire cross section of multiple annuli, and hence, establishing a proper barrier in the well for P&A or sidetrack purposes.
The HydraArchimedes Tool consist of twisted rubber blades and when rotated throughout the cement job it forces any wellbore fluid inside of the casing to be forced out to the annuli. When rotated it creates a small pressure drop from top of the tool to the bottom which aids in 'flipping the hole' by pushing internal cement out to the annuli and brining in-situ fluid from the annuli back into the wellbore.

How it works
|
Consists of a jet-washing tool to clean annuli behind perforated casings. Uses jet-nozzles at irregular angles for optimum cleaning. Jet-cementing tool activated by ball drop to place plugging material. HydraArchimedes tool rotated to force cement into annulus.
