Hi-Flow® Process is a patented advanced coalescing technology (US Patent No. 7,297,279) developed by CETCO Energy Services for treating high rates of produced water. It utilizes radial-flow canisters stacked in a proprietary compact configuration to minimize vessel dimensions. The process works by forcing the fluid through specialized media, where the physical pathways and media interactions force free oil to merge and release for accelerated gravitational separation.
The Hi-Flow® Process can handle a wide range of liquid flow rates, from 275 bwpd to over 40,000 bwpd. It can tolerate large fluctuations in oil and grease content without affecting performance. The technology is highly flexible and can be used in various applications, including well completion flowbacks, workovers, scale squeeze flowbacks, acid flowbacks, and high-rate pipeline dewatering.
