GCS RE Toolkit
Geological Carbon Storage Web APP
Repsol has developed a web app for the estimation of relative permeabilities and capillary pressure for simulation of CO2 geological storage in saline aquifers and sandstone formations. Suitable for fast screening studies and new venture analysis, when available subsurface data is limited and the time to make decisions is reduced.
MAIN FEATURES: GCS Modeling performs a robust workflow under uncertainty for estimation of Kr and Pc curves needed for dynamic simulation of CO2 geological storage projects. Based on average porosity, permeability, pressure, temperature and brine salinity it estimates relative permeability (drainage and imbibition), capillary pressure (drainage), interfacial tension for the CO2 -Brine system, CO2 and Brine density and viscosity. The results come in the format of commercial reservoir simulators
