FloCheck (Injection)
Injection valve for annulus treatment in ICD wells
The FloCheck Injection is an injection valve developed by TAQA specifically designed for treating completion annulus and near wellbore areas in wells equipped with Autonomous Inflow Control Device (AICD) technologies. This valve serves as a critical solution for bypassing AICDs when chemical treatment or stimulation is required.
The FloCheck Injection is spring-loaded and remains closed during production. It opens only when a predetermined differential pressure is applied from inside the tubing, allowing injection through the device.
Also, FloCheck Injection are deployed in injection wells
Key benefits include improved well performance, adaptability for well control, and the ability to achieve high injection rates by deploying multiple valves per zone. The system is interchangeable with TAQA's portfolio of inflow control devices, providing field flexibility. During production, the valve remains closed to prevent cross-flow between zones.
The FloCheck Injection is versatile in its applications, suitable for injector wells to provide high-rate water injection capabilities. It is designed to work with various fluids including water, acids, and gas, making it highly adaptable for different well control scenarios. The valve can be installed in standard screen or sub assemblies.
FloCheck Injection can be integrated with other TAQA’s technologies including FloSure AICD in production wells. This enables chemical treatment or acid stimulation by bypassing the production device as shown in the picture. The device can be installed on a standard screen or sub assembly and can be deployed within the same housing of other devices. This allows simultaneous treatment of the screen and annulus whilst optimising oil production through the integrated production control devices. During production or shut in mode, the device remains closed to prevent any possible backflow or crossflow between zones.
