Removing of ultra-fines from drilling fluids resulting in reconditioned drilling fluids: Evodos dynamic settler technology can mechanically remove the ultra-fine particles from drilling fluids. These ultra-fine particles are generally smaller than 10 microns and build up in a mud system during the drilling process, because the present solids control equipment (decanter centrifuges) cannot effectively remove these ultra-fines below the 10-micron size.

Pros & Limitations
1
Up to 50%-70% lower cost compared to dilution
1
Less increase in mud volume. Reducing: transport - storage cost and ultimately disposal cost
1
Reduced mud chemical usage and hence reduced mud cost
1
Better control on mud properties such as the PV, YP, ES and Gel content improving ECD
1
reducing CO2 footprint
0
Not a decanter replacement
