Weatherford Endura 9 5/8" x 13 3/8" Dual String Section Mill (DSSM) 2.0 has been redesigned to provide the best and most effective 9 5/8" x 13 3/8" dual casing milling system available in the well abandonment space today.
Through field trials and focussed engineering, the team were able to redesign the following;
- The whole body and material was change for reduced fatique during operations.
- Improved stabilization for smoother casing cut out and milling during operations.
- Fully revised and redesigned dressing style on the cut out blades mated to a completely new milling blade design.
- The hard facing material type on all blade wear pads were changed for far greater wear resistance.
The changes above culminated in a hugely successful installation, 1 x cut out run and 1 x milling ahead run to complete the full window.
