Dual Casing - Explosive-free hydraulic system for casing perforation

The Deep Perforating Tool (DPT) evolved from the 4 blades Gator perforator and is a Single-Bladed, Repeatable, Hydro-Mechanical Casing Perforator capable of perforating through 2 casing sizes and eliminates the need for Explosives on the rig. 

 

It can be deployed on Coil tubing or Jointed pipe, dependent on tool size. Its function is to mechanically perforate 1 large TFA vertical slot in both casings (per activation) creating a flow path to the B and C annulus or into the formation.

 

The operation of casing perforation can be repeated as many times as required. The DPT is compatible with packers and bridge plugs, that allows multiple operations to be performed in a single trip. Once the bridge plug is set, the DPT is activated to achieve the required footage of perforation. The circulation behind the casing can now be performed, and a cement barrier is placed to complete the P&A operation.

 

The DPT is logistically and environmentally friendly, easily mobilized for onshore or offshore applications. Reducing your risk, POB as well as your footprint on the rig site.
