CaviFlow® | Industrial Oil Processing | Blending & Homogenization
Innovative Plug&Play Module | Cavitation Technology
One of RAPTECH's particular areas of expertise is the homogenization of heavy fuel oil and the production of water-in-oil mixtures.
The hydrodynamic UADA cavitation technology with the CaviFlow® inline module achieves outstanding results with the smallest particles. Particle sizes < 5 micrometers.
Fast, uncomplicated and cost-efficient. The quality of the treated oil increases significantly through homogenization.
By homogenizing heavy fuel oil (HFO) with the CaviFlow® inline module, the oil is treated in such a way that the components are evenly distributed in ultra-fine droplets. HFO homogenization brings advantages such as clean combustion and less paraffinic contamination in the systems. It can be used profitably in industries such as refineries and petrochemicals, also to produce alternative fuels.

Cavitation as a Green Technology
Cavitation is increasingly recognized as a green and sustainable processing technology. By leveraging physical hydrodynamic effects instead of chemical additives.
Improved Combustion of Fuel Blends
Cavitation enhances microscopic mixing of conventional fuels with alternatives (biodiesel, glycerin, methanol, ethanol, pyrolysis oils), promoting partial upgrading and desulfurization, which improves combustion stability and engine efficiency.
Viscosity Reduction & Easier Handling
Blending fuels of different viscosities is challenging. Cavitation reduces viscosity differences, making the fuel blend easier to pump, inject, and atomize, and lowering preheating energy requirements.
Homogeneous Blending & Sediment Reduction
CaviFlow® inline module ensures uniform dispersion of all fuel components, including sludge and residual water, minimizing sediment formation and improving fuel stability for storage and operation.
Contaminant Reduction in Blends
Partial chemical activation during cavitation reduces sulfur, ash, and metal contaminants across blended fuels, protecting engines and lowering abrasive wear from heterogeneous fuel sources.
Fuel Efficiency & Energy Gains
More uniform and reactive fuel blends allow slight fuel savings and improved energy efficiency, even when mixing high-viscosity heavy fuels with lighter renewable components.
Environmental Compliance & Sustainability
Blending conventional and alternative fuels with cavitation reduces CO₂ emissions, lowers pollutant content, and supports advancing sustainable marine fuel use.
