CaviFlow® | (Bunker) Fuels | Blending & Homogenization
Innovative Plug&Play Module | Cavitation Technology
In the field of alternative fuels, RAPTECH's innovative Cavitation Technology with the CaviFlow® Plug&Play module offers a solution for the production of (marine) fuel emulsions based on homogenized bunker fuel oils (HFO | HSFO | VLFO | ULSFO) or renewable biofuels.
The Future Fuel blends completely dispense with additives and are fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly thanks to a significant reduction in emissions of up to 25%. The bunker fuel emulsions naturally meet the ISO 8217:2024 requirements.
The effective blending of biofuels with traditional fossil fuels using the CaviFlow® inline module is an economically viable measure for reducing greenhouse gases without the need for a high investment and conversion budget.
Fuel emulsions do not require any changes to engines, on-board fuel supply systems or within the bunker infrastructure. Their blend ratio is adaptable depending on the season.

Cavitation as a Green Technology
Cavitation is increasingly recognized as a green and sustainable processing technology. By leveraging physical hydrodynamic effects instead of chemical additives.
Emission reduction
Blending conventional and alternative fuels with cavitation reduces CO₂ emissions, lowers pollutant content, and supports advancing sustainable marine fuel use.
Due to the component mixing with the CaviFlow® inline module and the ultra-fine homogenization of the fuel oils by means of cavitation treatment, RAPTECH fuel emulsions have significantly lower emissions - thanks to their improved combustion efficiency, lower flame temperature and higher oxygen content. |
Energy & Fuel Efficiency Gains
Slight fuel savings (~1%) and overall efficiency improvements (~4%) are achieved through better combustion, reduced preheating, and more uniform fuel properties.
Retention of the on-board fuel systems
Adding biofuels to fossil fuels and homogenizing them using cavitation technology is an economically viable measure for reducing greenhouse gases. Unlike new alternative fuels, the CaviFlow® inline module does not require a high investment and conversion budget. The modules can be easily integrated into existing systems via a flange or threaded connection. Maintaining the existing on-board fuel systems and bunker infrastructure in shipping offers decisive advantages.

Fuel Homogeneity & Sludge Control
The intense mixing and dispersion prevent sediment and sludge formation, improving fuel stability and reducing maintenance and separator overloading.
Reduced operating costs
Clean facilities | Alternative fuels homogenized and blended by RAPTECH cavitation technology have concrete cost savings to offer. Their clean combustion extends the maintenance intervals of engines and technical systems, which suffer less from contamination caused by sludge and carbon deposits.
Without additives
Environmentally friendly | RAPTECH deliberately avoids the addition of harmful additives such as emulsifiers, surfactants or polymers in its alternative fuel emulsions.
Flexible mixing ratio
Seasonally adaptable | The blend ratio of ISO 8217:2024 RAPTECH fuel emulsions is flexible and seasonally adaptable. This ensures a number of strategic and operational advantages, especially in shipping with changing environmental and operating conditions.
Safe transportation and storagee
Available worldwide | RAPTECH biofuel emulsions are extremely stable. This means that they can be stored, pumped and transported at much lower temperatures than conventional HFO.
Thanks to their global and widespread availability, there is also no risk of supply bottlenecks in remote ports - in contrast to new alternative fuels, for which the infrastructure is still being developed. |
Environmental & Regulatory Compliance
Lower emissions of CO₂, reduced sediments, and improved fuel uniformity support compliance with IMO/MARPOL standards and contribute to more sustainable marine operations.
