Air Motors & Portable Valve Actuators

Air motors and portable valve actuators are two key product lines offered by MODEC. Air motors are pneumatic devices that convert compressed air into mechanical power. MODEC's air motor series range from 300W to 3200W and comes in various configurations, including straight shaft, right-angle drive, and models with integrated control handles. The motors are compact, lightweight, and offer high power-to-weight ratios. They are suitable for demanding industrial applications, including in ATEX environments, extreme temperatures, and offshore/marine use.

Portable valve actuators are power tools designed to ease the operation of manual valves that may have become difficult to turn due to lack of use, dried lubrication, or corrosion. modec offers actuators with three power sources: battery electric, pneumatic, and gas-powered. The electric models feature long-life batteries for sustained high power output. Pneumatic actuators are the most compact and powerful, with ATEX certification available. Gas-powered models offer complete autonomy.

The actuators have modular designs with interchangeable heads, adaptors, and torque reaction systems. Available heads include straight, right-angle, and banjo configurations. Adaptors allow connection to various valve types. Torque reaction options include arms, bipods, and vehicle hitch mounts. 

Additional accessories, such as digital counters, torque limiters, and air treatment units, are also available. This modularity allows customization for diverse valve operation needs across industries.
