The next generation sand management
Page last modified
April 11 2024
Stork’s Advanced Online Desanding (AOD) system, now in its 3rd generation, sets a new standard for sand management that is safe, environmentally friendly and cost effective.
AOD removes sand from ‘live’ production separators efficiently and safely avoiding platform shutdown and maintaining production while reducing environmental impact.
Pros & Limitations
1
Enhanced safety due to absence of confined space entry
1
Enhanced production due to elimination of sand-induced shutdowns
1
Sand cleaned and safely returned to sea, reducing environmental impact and avoiding onshore disposal
1
Shorter turnarounds because desanding is taken out of the turnaround scope
0
AOD is not suitable for 2 phase gas processing separator
