The 4001D MAGSIG® is a fully certified non-intrusive pig signaller that accurately detects, signals, and logs the passage of magnetic pigs at critical points along a pipeline, both onshore and offshore. It utilizes a magnetic sensor to identify the change in the magnetic field as the pig carrying magnets passes beneath it. The signaller is designed for quick and easy installation using ratchet straps or stainless steel banding, without the need for specialized personnel or prolonged downtime.

The 4001D MAGSIG® is equipped with an intuitive user interface that displays pig passage data on a graphical display and high-brightness LEDs. It can log up to 99 events with the time and date, which can be viewed locally or transmitted remotely over various optional interfaces. The user can control the unit's power and modify settings using a single control button and menu system.

A notable feature is the advanced Survey mode, which provides a live graphical representation of Gauss readings, enabling users to discover the magnetic signature of their pig, ensuring precise monitoring and analysis. The signaller is versatile and can be installed on any pipeline up to 60" diameter with a wall thickness up to 50mm, carrying any medium and with pigs running at varying speeds.

The 4001D MAGSIG® is ATEX, UKEX, and IECEx certified for use in hazardous areas, including IIC classification for use on hydrogen pipelines. It offers various standard outputs, including a DPDT relay and current loop relay, and can operate on alkaline or lithium batteries or an external power supply.
