Webinar Alert!  Lisa Blankenburg, TAQAs North American Sales Director, will be presenting on October 21 at 16.00 hrs CET.

Thanks to Technology Catalogue for including us in their Tech Talk Series.

The topic of this talk is SwellPlug, our patented elastomer technology.  Lost circulation, casing breaches, sustained annular pressure, and unwanted water production remain persistent challenges for operators, often resulting in costly downtime and costly remedial attempts. Conventional approaches, such as cement plugs or resin treatments, can fail in harsh environments and result in additional remedial work, such as mill-outs or cleanout operations.

SwellPlug is a pumpable, water-swellable elastomeric particulate and fiber system engineered to deliver permanent, chemically resistant seals under adverse conditions. With particle sizes from 100 μm to 8 mm and swelling capacity up to 400%, SwellPlug withstands temperatures of 482°F, differential pressures above 10,000 psi, and repeated pressure cycling.

This presentation reviews testing and field deployments where SwellPlug restored integrity and minimized non-productive time. Applications include repairing casing breaches, refrac isolation without ID restrictions, sealing failed liner hangers and expandable patches, mitigating P&A losses, and shutting off unwanted water production. In several cases, wells returned to operations within 24 hours, demonstrating both operational efficiency and cost savings.

These results highlight SwellPlug as a versatile, field-proven solution that expands operator options for well remediation, recovery enhancement, and long-term integrity management.
