Description

Revolutionary in-line inspection technologies could transform pipeline monitoring in the Oil and Gas industry. These potential solutions would address both monophase and multiphase systems across onshore and offshore environments, targeting pipelines from 1" to 12" in diameter and lengths up to 20+ kilometers.

Conventional technologies such as Advanced Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) System, Enhanced Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) Technology, and Integrated Multi-Sensor Platform could serve as reference starting points for this challenge. The ideal solution should effectively detect and identify pipeline integrity issues, including localized and general corrosion, internal and external metal loss, structural deformation, Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI), Corrosion Under Pipe Supports (CUPS), deposits presence and leakage localization.

The major benefits from the adoption of these new technologies are: reducing inspection time, achieving detection good accuracy, and providing comprehensive advanced data analysis and modelling compared to conventional tech and methodologies to enhance preventive and predictive maintenance approaches. Any proposed solution should aim to comply with major industry standards, such as API 1163, NACE SP0102, and DNV-RP-F118 while exploring innovative approaches to pipeline inspection challenges.
