Alternative monitoring for Reservoir and Wellhead pressure for failing downhole gauges
Challenge: Subsea wells equipped with permanent downhole and horizontal Xmas tree gauges are failing since the wells are in production for more than 20 years. This issue highlights the risk of decreasing reliability for reservoir monitoring and well integrity monitoring over time. Traditional well intervention of replacing the gauges (retrieving the tubing and Xmas tree) is expected to be significantly expensive due to asset’s remote location.
Key Requirements:
1.Technical information and specifications for less intrusive technology as an alternate wellhead pressure monitoring with relatively high accuracy
2.Technology to derive the reservoir pressure with only wellhead pressure available
3.Recent application of the technology and its performance (how did it add value and what are the limitations of the technology)
4.Indicative cost of the technology
5.High level method for installing the technology
